• The center provides assistance to the volunteer in reaching the center in Hebron after traveling and arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, either by using public transportation or arranging a private taxi from the airport to the center.
  • The center staff welcomes the new volunteer on the first day and helps them settle into their accommodation in Hebron (either in an apartment or with a host family).
  • The volunteer’s days off are on Fridays and Saturdays each week.
  • During weekends, the center can assist volunteers in visiting other cities in Palestine.
  • Breakfast is served daily at the center at 9:00 or 10:00 AM.

First Week

  • Attend Arabic lessons in the morning or evening.
  • Write a reflection on the motivation for coming to Palestine and choosing this program.
  • Arrange an introductory visit to the Palestinian refugee camp, meet staff working in the camp, and familiarize the volunteer with the activities and lessons they will conduct with students, children, and families in the refugee camp.

Second, Third, and Fourth Weeks

  • Visit historical sites in Hebron to learn about the city’s history, daily realities, and the impact of the occupation, including visits to the Old City, Ibrahimi Mosque, and Shuhada Street.
  • Begin teaching activities at the refugee camp twice a week.
  • Assist the center in teaching English as the lead teacher for advanced levels and support other teachers with foundational-level students.
  • Receive a detailed presentation on the Palestinian refugee issue in Palestine and visit various locations to learn about human rights conditions in the region.
  • Participate in the center’s weekly group dinner and other community activities with students and fellow volunteers.

End of the Program

  • The center will assist the volunteer in arranging transportation back to the airport using public transportation or a private taxi to save time and effort.
  • The center’s staff is always ready to support the volunteer, ensuring their time is safe and comfortable while providing all necessary accommodations.
