Volunteer Support and Arrival

  • The center provides guidance on reaching Hebron after arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, either through public transportation or by arranging a private taxi.
  • Upon arrival, the center’s team welcomes volunteers and assists them in reaching their accommodation (apartment or host family).

Volunteer Activities and Schedule

  • Volunteers typically have days off on Friday and Saturday, although Saturday may be substituted with another day based on English teaching schedules.
  • Breakfast is served daily at 9:00 or 10:00 AM at the center.
  • In the first week, volunteers attend Arabic lessons in the morning and teach English courses in the evening.
  • In the second week, volunteers visit historical sites in Hebron, such as the Old City, the Ibrahimi Mosque, and Shuhada Street.
  • Volunteers receive a detailed schedule of English courses, including timings, days, and student levels.
  • Teaching roles may involve being a lead instructor or assisting in some courses.
  • Volunteers also participate in field visits to learn about Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps in Hebron.

Community Engagement and Farewell

  • A group dinner is held weekly with the center’s team, students, and other volunteers.
  • A farewell dinner or appreciation gathering is organized for the volunteer on their final day, where they receive a certificate from the center.
  • The center assists with transportation to and from the airport upon program completion, either through public transport or a private taxi.
  • The center’s team ensures volunteers’ safety and comfort throughout their stay.
