Modern Standard Arabic Summer Program 2025

The greatest time to visit Palestine is in the summer. This is when Volunteer in Palestine is most active. When there are more volunteers and more Palestinian students than at any other time of the year.

There will be several possibilities for you to meet wonderful people, practice Arabic, and learn about Palestinian life, all while improving your Arabic abilities. Life in Hebron will be more casual, with many people out on the streets enjoying their vacations.

This Summer Modern Standard Arabic Program 2025 is ideal for people having a summer vacation or anybody wishing to learn while on a long visit to the area. The summer programs combine a language concentration with complete understanding and involvement in  Palestinian culture, politics, and history, and include 4-6 hours of Arabic study every day.

When will the Modern Standard Arabic Summer Program 2025 take place?

The Summer Arabic program in Palestine will run for four weeks from the 1st of June to the 29th of June 2025.

A complete Arabic Immersion Experience

The Summer Modern Standard Arabic Program 2025, offered by Volunteer in Palestine, aims to enhance your relationship with the Arabic language through comprehensive immersion in Palestinian life and culture.

Intensive Arabic classes are conducted entirely in Arabic to enhance language learning. Students are also encouraged to participate in cultural events and site visits organized by Volunteer in Palestine. This provides an opportunity to practice language skills in real-life situations while connecting with the local community in Hebron, Palestine.

A Diverse Spectrum of Arabic Dialects

The Summer Modern Standard Arabic Program 2025 focuses on teaching formal Arabic, known as Classical Arabic. Participants also have the opportunity to enhance their studies by incorporating various Arabic dialects. The program provides optional instruction in:

1. Palestinian Colloquial Arabic

The Study Palestinian Colloquial Arabic offers a unique opportunity for individuals seeking to learn the colloquial Palestinian dialect of Arabic (Ammiya or Levantine dialect), connect with the broader Palestinian diaspora, and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of Palestine and the Levant region.

2. The Levantine Colloquial Arabic

This comprehensive approach ensures participants develop a well-rounded proficiency in both formal and conversational Arabic, making their language-learning experience truly enriching.

How Many Hours of Arabic Will I Do?    

Engage with Palestine offers each dialect at different levels of difficulty, including starter, beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses. You will study your chosen dialect for four hours a day, five days a week, along with 80 hours of Modern Standard Arabic instruction throughout June 2025.

Students are also encouraged to add up to 2 private Arabic hours each day to practice what they study, assist with homework, and enhance their speaking skills.

A Small Group Setting

Our summer intensive programs in 2025 in Hebron, West Bank, Palestine will have small groups of 5-7 students. This setup allows each student to talk, debate, engage, and improve their language skills.

At the moment, we have over ten Arabic instructors working full-time, all of them are enthusiastic about teaching Arabic and have received specialized training in teaching Arabic as a foreign language.

Living With a Palestinian Host Family

During their studies, students have the opportunity to stay with a Palestinian host family in the local area, offering an authentic cultural experience. Eligibility

This summer program in Hebron, Palestine, is open for enrollment in 2025. Eligible participants include students, undergraduates, graduates, retirees, Arabic learners, and adults with an academic background. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 70 and should be fluent in English.

Assessment And Placement

On the first day of the course, every student, except for total beginners, will take a written and spoken language competence test. Teachers will then assign students to their respective levels based on their test performance and previous language studies.
