Volunteer in the West Bank

Volunteering in the West Bank offers a unique opportunity to engage with Palestinian communities in cities like Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron, each with its distinct cultural and historical significance. In Ramallah, the administrative hub, you can work with NGOs focused on human rights, youth development, and education. Bethlehem, known for its religious heritage, offers opportunities in community centers, schools, and refugee support, while Hebron, with its rich history and complex political landscape, is ideal for those interested in peace-building and human rights monitoring. Other cities like Nablus and Jenin provide volunteer experiences in cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and support for local artisans and refugees.

Cities like Jericho, Tulkarem, and Qalqilya present opportunities to volunteer in environmental conservation, rural development, and educational programs, often within communities facing unique challenges due to the political situation. Whether you’re interested in teaching, cultural initiatives, or social services, the West Bank offers a diverse range of volunteer experiences that allow you to contribute meaningfully while immersing yourself in Palestinian culture and daily life.

Supporting the Palestinian Healthcare System

There is no denying that Palestine’s healthcare system has to improve significantly, especially in the hospitals and clinics close to the refugee camps. Even though many of the camps began as sizable tent cities, they have evolved into enclosed concrete places that are congested and lacking many public facilities, making them frequently unpleasant, claustrophobic, and crowded.

One of the primary issues we face is a scarcity of healthcare personnel, which impedes Palestinian’s access to proper healthcare. With the help of Medicine and Healthcare Programs in Palestine, we’re enabled to bring together people with backgrounds in medicine who will contribute to the improvement and growth of underprivileged societies.

Reviews and Awards

Volunteer in Palestine has been offering its services since 2011. Throughout the years, besides Medicine and Healthcare Programs in Palestine, we have been developing many volunteering and internship programs. We use the most advanced methods which we develop and enhance year after year. Education and learning through volunteering is an active process that is always advancing, and you will be part of the development.

Despite continuous program improvements for the best learning experience, our core goal remains: connecting, teaching, and developing individuals for the benefit of them and the community. Additionally, we aim to promote and encourage exchange in the local and international communities.

We continue to strive towards excellence:

In 2022, we ranked as “one of the top three organizations worldwide in offering volunteer opportunities”. We also ranked as “one of the top three language schools worldwide” by Go Overseas. We also received a total of five Go Overseas Community Choice Awards. Among others, Volunteer in Palestine earned recognition as one of the top Teach Abroad Providers for the category of “benefits”. In Conclusion

Volunteering in the West Bank is a very beneficial opportunity if you are a healthcare professional or student looking for volunteer opportunities in healthcare and have a love for human rights. By volunteering in one of our Medicine and Healthcare Programs in Palestine, you may contribute to the growth of the Palestinian medical system and help give medical aid. You can meet medical professionals like doctors, medical specialists, paramedics, and surgeons in Hebron hospitals and care facilities by volunteering.

Due to the occupation, Palestinians confront several difficulties and barriers in their healthcare system. By taking part in the program, you help open the way for the medical treatment they require, whether it be by providing hands-on support, planning workshops, or providing training for Palestinian medical professionals.

The internship takes place in the city of Hebron, in the center of Palestine. You can choose to stay from anywhere between 1-13 weeks. But no matter how long you decide to stay, we’ll help you have a delightful and memorable experience both at our center and in this beautiful city.
