Volunteer with Palestinian Refugees

The Volunteer with Palestinian Refugees in the West Bank: As one of our most popular programs, the Volunteer with Palestinian Refugees service is perfect for anyone interested in pursuing a career path working with refugees, as well as promoting displaced people’s rights across the globe. The Volunteer with Palestinian Refugees program is an excellent choice for students enrolled in a gap year or who are looking for a summer internship. 

Volunteers working with Palestinian refugees will design, implement, and lead workshops intended to aid Palestinian refugees in the West Bank. These workshops include themes such as English language acquisition, resume writing, and online ethics and safety; the sky’s the limit when it comes to workshop ideas! In addition, as a volunteer working with Palestinian refugees, you will provide educational support within local refugee camps and schools. Volunteer for Women and Children’s Rights

Women and Children’s Rights in the West Bank: As a volunteer in this program, you will work towards spreading awareness of women’s rights throughout Hebron, Palestine. This will entail working with local NGOs and women’s rights groups to design and lead workshops that will reach the women of Palestine. Volunteer with Palestinian Children 

Volunteer with Palestinian Children: This program is designed for people interested in pursuing a career in early childhood education, and are looking for experience in the field and working within different cultures. As a volunteer working with children in Palestine, you will dedicate your time to two vital fields. The first of these is volunteering with local schools in Hebron. While serving in local children’s schools, volunteers will be responsible for assisting local teachers in English language courses, as well as being ambassadors for their own culture.  

The second field of this program is designing workshops for children who visit Volunteer in Palestine. Workshop ideas include writing workshops, cultural movie night, arts & crafts, as well as so much more! Previous volunteers have held concerts and circus performances for Palestinian children. Volunteer in Music and Arts 

Music and Arts in the West Bank: The volunteer in the music and arts program in the West Bank is intended to be the ultimate form of cultural exchange. Volunteer in Human Rights

Volunteer in Human Rights Program in the West Bank: This volunteer program has 2 unique parts. The first of these is that program participants will spend their time learning about human rights, what are human rights, and their transgression in the West Bank. To understand human rights and how they relate to Palestine, volunteers will spend their first few weeks visiting refugee camps, forming dialogues with local university students and professors, as well as visiting local NGOs, charity organizations, law firms, and political actors.  

After collecting sufficient information about human rights and their importance to Palestine, volunteers will work with local NGOs, law firms, and charity organizations to create workshops dedicated to spreading awareness about human rights. These workshops will be hosted by the Center and throughout Hebron, designed to inform the Palestinian people about their guaranteed rights under international law, as well as combating its transgressions.

Palestine and Israel in Context Internship

The Palestine and Israel in Context internship program is for students at the undergraduate and graduate level, professionals, retirees, and anybody interested in the political history and present of Palestine and Israel. This internship program targets students of the humanities and social sciences, who are looking for ways to better understand the Israeli/Palestinian first hand. By taking part in this program, students of the humanities and social sciences will be able to better understand and grasp the effects of the conflict firsthand, and witness the genuine opinions of everyday people apart from political headlines. We welcome all majors such as political sciences, international relations, and non-profit management, as well as other disciplines of the humanities department.

Further, the Palestine and Israel in Context internship program is ideal for individuals studying political sciences, Middle Eastern studies, Palestine and Israel, Arabic studies, and Islamic studies and are looking to frame that experience within a cultural context. Interns will receive the opportunity to explore the occupation in the West Bank as well as meet Palestinian civilians, local actors, and families who are subject to Israeli military law.

Palestinian Laws and Legal Practices Internship

Palestinian Laws and Legal Practices Internship: This internship program is ideal for students and scholars of law, social sciences, academics, human rights, and anyone interested in the Palestinian legal systems operating in the West Bank, Palestine. Interns can join our family from 1-12 weeks, year-round. The Palestinian Laws program aims to provide a full understanding of legislation applying to the West Bank and Gaza.

During the internship programs, interns will visit local Palestinian lawyers, law faculties, courts, human rights organizations, legal religious institutions as well as legal clinics to witness the enactment of laws, decision-making processes, court rulings, legal negotiations, mediations, and the variety of social spaces they concern.
