The West Bank, and especially Hebron tend to be safe and conducive for learning about Palestine while volunteering or interning.
However, there might be some minor clashes in the West Bank between Palestinians and Israeli settlers or the military due to the ongoing occupation. Mainly, there will be tensions prior to the clashes that are very noticeable. Thus, it is always important to keep an eye on news outlets to stay constantly updated about the situation, so you know which places are to avoid during the weekends and which places are perfectly fine to visit.
